Album Info:The pictures in this album are taken along the former Great Northern Railway line that ran between Hawkesbury/Grenville an Joliette, passing through St. Jerome and along the old Montfort & Gatineau Railway line that ran from St. Jerome to Arundel and later to Lac Remi. The M&G was purchased by the Great Northern in 1909.

Old CN bridge
Title:  Old CN bridge
Description:  This bridge was built in 1929 by Canadian National on a section of the line built in 1907 by the Great Northern Railway, near the Lac Marois station. It was abandoned in 1962 and destroyed in 2008.

Description:  The station was opened in 1897 by the Montfort & Gatineau Railway. It was closed when CN abandoned the line in 1962 and became the village post office.

Rinfret Junction
Title:  Rinfret Junction
Description:  The line was built in 1909 by Great Northern Railway of Canada before it was acquired by the Canadian Northern (later CN). It is now used by the Quebec & Gatineau Railway. It is the only remnant of the western part of the line that went from St-Andre-d'Argenteuil to Shawinigan, through St-Jerome and Joliette.

Description:  Site of the station built in Montfort by the Montfort and Gatineau Railway in 1895. Service was interrupted in 1962 and the station demolished shortly after. The right of way is now a hicking trail.
