PRR 2508, GF-25, 1963
Tipton. Here is an original photo that I took in Tipton, Pennsylvania, on 21 July 1963. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #2508, #2528, and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. #2508 and #2528 are GF-25's built by General Electric in 1962 and rated at 2,500 horsepower each; #2508 was constructed in September, while #2528 was built in October. They're about to pass over the Crawford Avenue grade crossing with a TrucTrain from Altoona to Enola.
